- Body: 100% polyester; Weight: 82 g/m; Use simple detergents with no additives; Never use detergents with fabric softeners, perfumes or any additive type product; The general rule of thumb is the simpler the better.; Many detergents with additives leave "surfactants" behind on a fabric's fibers that inhibit the technical performance; Typically the best detergents to use will have "Clear" or "Free" in their names; Don't pour the detergent directly onto the clothing, put it in the washer first, when you start the water; If something is not functionally working, but is not dirty, try rinsing it twice in warm to hot water; This will help get rid of the harmful surfactants. Read the care content label; On the inside of your garment, or on the hangcard, there are instructions for the care of that individual piece; On garments this will be on a side seam or back seam label. Follow those directions; On finer fabrics, use a "Gentle" cycle. Close all zippers, attach "hook and loop" closures on gloves You can use the dryer, carefully; If you use a dryer be sure to use a lower / warm heat setting (Do NOT use a commercial dryer or a "Hot" setting); This will often restore the fabric and help the water and wind repellent qualities; If in doubt, hang the clothing to dry.

...if you're looking for something water-resistant? This is NOT what you are looking for. I love the color, the fit, and how well it insulates from wind. For those qualities, it gets a 4 star rating. I was drenched right to my skin within 5 seconds of being outside in a light rain. For that, it loses a star.

Ordered this for my wife it look great on her and she love it, we out for a ride yesterday 67F windy between 8 to 12 miles, she said the jacket keep her so warm, and after an hour of riding it getting warmer , all she did was opened the front zipper about 3/4 way down, and let the wind in to cool down.
My wife 5'2" 98lbs, size X-Small and beautiful bright white fit her just about right,

I got this jacket to replace a much lighter weight jacket for cool weather rides. This one has great wind resistance, and good breathability with the vent opening on the back. I haven't tried it in the rain - it says it has good water resistance, so it might be good if I accidentally get stuck in the rain but I think I'll stick to a waterproof rain jacket when I know it's going to be rainy.
Works great for biking with the extra long tail and rear pocket. It's comfortable and works well for running too.
It has some relective trim, but I wish it had more reflective fabric for night runs.
