Even though this item is described as a "lightweight hoodie" it is a little warm. Perfect for cool days (60-80F). It has a hidden side pocket with a zipper the perfect size for an ipod touch or iphone. I ordered a small and it is true to size. I am considering ordering another one in a different color.

Now that I'm running 5-20 miles a week (depending on where I am on my training schedule) I've decided to replace my old running jacket and wanted to find a softshell hoody that was fitted, dry-wicking, and preferably had thumb holes or the flip over hand warmers (I don't like carrying gloves when it gets cold). I live in a fairly warm climate here in Southern California (but occasionally it drops into the 30's or 40's for early morning or evening runs) so I didn't want something too warm. Before I found this jacket I was leaning toward the Brook's Utopia Hoody or Zoot hoody but was concerned those would end up being too warm for what I want. I am a petite 5' flat, 125 pounds, size 6. I typically have to size up for my swimmer's back so I ordered a medium and am happy with the fit. The length hits me just below mid-hip and it's a little long (like all the clothes in my life) so it would be fine on someone with an average/longer torso length. The arms lengths are perfect with the thumb holes but run a bit long if you decide to wear it as a normal sleeve (it's not a problem though because it pull up and sits at the wrist just fine). The jacket is a fitted/snug style and true to size. If you're looking for a jacket to disguise flaws, this won't do much for you. There is roching (gather seams) in the pockets which are open. There is also a small zipper (although the pocket itself is fairly large- good for a smart phone or several gels) on the lower left hip under the pocket. The hood fits well zippered all the way up and doesn't constrict at the neck. There is also a pony tail hole option in the hood. My only concern is that although the jacket fits well and the seams are flat stitched, there is a seam that run down the length of my elbow and I'm not sure how that will work for me after many miles of moving... that's the only reason I gave it 4 stars, otherwise it meets all the needs of my checklist. I'll have to update you when I get more mileage in with the jacket (just finished a race and am in my recovery/rest week so the jacket is more for lounging right now than anything:).

This is my favorite jacket and I have MANY! I love the thumb holes and the look and feel of this jacket.
The item arrived in one day and it made my day when I opened the package!
